1. Foreign nationals wishing to marry in Greece, may do so providing the local authorities have received and processed in good time your application for a marriage license. We suggest no less than two months.
2. Documents required on arrival in Rhodes for further processing are:
a. Full birth certificate
(both parties).
b. Decree absolute
(if there has been a divorce).
c. Deed poll
(if names have been changed).
d. 2 x certificate of non impediment to marry. (this can be obtained from your local Registrar and will take approximatley one month. It must not be issued more than three months before the date of your
big day).
e.
Widows/ers will need their late partners death certificates.
f.
Photocopies of your passports.
All these documents must be certified legal by the British
Foreign office, they are at 20 Victoria Street, London SW1.

After the ceremony you will be required to declare your marriage to the
registrar at the local town hall. We at PROPOSALS are committed
to helping you in every way we can with all relevant legal requirements in Rhodes, however
whilst in the U.K, and prior to your Wedding, it is your responsibility to collate all the necessary and required paperwork.
